Although nothing has been officially confirmed, a recent post on Twitter suggests that AMD may be working on the next iteration in its Big Navi range. User CyberPunkCat uploaded a picture alongside the tweet which seems to show a slide from the company, with some details about a possible new GPU. The slide in question contains such phrases as “RX 6000 Series” with “6900 XTX” written underneath. This could suggest a follow-up to, or at least another version of, the company’s 6900....

That’s according to a recent report from PCGamesN, which says that AMD is discounting down its CPUs and GPUs, specifically its Ryzen 5 and Radeon 6000 ranges, respectively. This means that anyone who is looking to build a new PC, or upgrade their current system, can opt for just the one company when it comes to a processor and graphics card, and it should be a little cheaper than usual....

According to a photo taken by HotHardware, it looks as though AMD was selling some of its products at this year’s PAX East. What’s interesting about this is that it looks as though the company was selling them at their intended MSRPs, with some of the items only being available in other places above their retail values. I’m obviously not the first American conglomerate to think of this. The New York Times recently detailed how scores of U.S. companies are reincorporating in Bermuda to avoid taxes. It’s so easy to do, the Times said, that it’s amazing that we have any corporations left in this country. “Moving” to Bermuda will save Stanley Works, a 159-year-old Connecticut toolmaker, $30 million a year in taxes. Tyco, the New Hampshire industrial conglomerate that’s now Bermudan as far as the IRS is concerned, saved $400 million in corporate taxes last year alone....

Flanagan became the first U.S. woman to win the NYC Marathon since Miki Gorman in 1977. Kamworor of Kenya earned his first major marathon victory. The Swiss pair of Manuela Schar and Marcel Hug also will defend their titles in the wheelchair competition on Nov. 4. As tensions between the U.S. and Iran spiked following the assassination of military general Qassem Soleimani, texts purporting to be from the U.S. Army claimed the recipient would have to travel to their closest military branch for “immediate departure” to the Middle East. The U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) confirmed texts had been sent “throughout the country” this week but assured citizens they are fraudulent. “Army Recruiting Command has received multiple calls and emails about these fake text messages and wants to ensure Americans understand these texts are false and were not initiated by this command or the U....

American dropped more than one third of their schedule on Sunday - over 1,000 flights, according to FlightAware, a flight tracking service. Internal airline figures showed approximately two-thirds of Sunday’s cancellations were because of the lack of flight attendants, but the rest of the cancellations were due to pilot shortages, the Associated Press reported. Many flight attendants said they reached their maximum allowed hours for October in the last days of the month, leaving flights without adequate cabin crews....
