The video starts out by explaining that players will be fighting in team-based battles against other online opponents. The footage displays gunplay and various characters duking it out. Players won’t only be fighting against human-controlled adversaries, however, as the world of Crucible itself is rather dangerous and filled with monsters and creatures. At a glance, these elements look similar to the promising but disappointing Evolve.
Three modes were shown off in the trailer. Heart of the Hive has two teams of four collecting “hearts” against one another. Alpha Hunters is a duo mode where the last team standing wins, sounding like it has battle royale elements. And lastly, Harvester Command sees two teams of eight fightings over control spots on the map.
Crucible launches on May 20, 2020, for PC.
