While Bethesda is celebrating the 25th anniversary in its two latest Fallout games, Prime Gaming offered subscribers the chance to claim Fallout 76 throughout October, and November will see that replaced with Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition. New Vegas is one of the most popular Fallout titles, and it is being given out at no extra cost to subscribers. Bethesda is adding content to one of the most controversial Fallout titles, creating an even more interesting comparison as Prime Gaming gives away entire games to celebrate the influential franchise.

Bethesda’s New Content in Fallout 76

Fallout is one of Bethesda’s biggest franchises, and many fans were excited to see how the developer was going to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Rumors filled the Internet suggesting there was going to be a remake, the announcement of a new game, or a boatload of content in pre-existing games. Instead, Bethesda has largely stuck to celebrating the franchise inside the controversial Fallout 76.

Bethesda primarily brought Fallout 76 players back to The Pitt from Fallout 3. It was the focal point of a prominent Fallout 3 DLC, establishing a raider town built in the remains of Pittsburgh, and players had to fight their way through this town to decide its fate. It was a pretty fun DLC pack that fans enjoyed, so it’s great to see Bethesda re-introduce the town as an Expedition for Fallout 76. However, besides a few cosmetic bundles and a next-gen update for Fallout 4 next year, this is pretty much the extent of Bethesda’s celebration.

Prime Gaming is Giving Fallout Fans a Lot More

While Bethesda offers new content in Fallout 76, Prime Gaming has entire titles up for grabs over the next couple of months. Fallout 76 has been available through the Microsoft Store at no extra charge this month, though the deal expires on October 31. In November, subscribers will be able to grab a Microsoft Store key for the popular Fallout: New Vegas, which some herald as the best Fallout game ever made. Players will be able to explore the Mojave Desert through one of the best Fallout stories so far, being Obisidan Entertainment’s only foray into the Fallout universe that fans have been clamoring for a sequel to ever since. Anyone who is interested in grabbing this title can do so on PC starting November 1.
